Last night I was working on a birthday card for my sister (shhhh). I recently purchased an ink refill for my dark brown - color box chalk ink (one of my fav inks/colors). I had a pretty massive mess going on my table (paper, stamps, inks, ink boxes, more paper, punches, pencils... you get the idea) and I noticed that my stamp pad was getting a little dry. I busted out the ink refill and decided to re-ink it on the spot (I was in card karma and did not want to mess that up). I must have put the whim-wham on that ink refill bottle because as I was squeezing it on to the TINY little ink pad (the Q stack) the top shot across the room and half the bottle oozed out (rather quickly I might add - more of a pyroclastic surge kind of thing). I think I sat there in shock for a few seconds because all I remember is looking down at it with my mouth hanging open. I keep towels in neat little stacks when I start a project because I am a terrible mess maker. I grabbed one and started cleaning things up. I was pretty ticked-off at this point and decided to leave everything where it was and call it a night.
After dinner tonight I decided to face the mess I had made (with color box - dark brown chalk ink still under 4 fingernails - on two different hands) and finish my card. I thought I would share a picture of the mess, the finished card (with one of the fancy new flower buttons I made Sunday) and the mêlée I create when I am in the craft mind set (this is going to shock my co-workers I am pretty sure).
Laters taters. Lolly
P.S. My next post is going to be on Gamsol...(notice the price and the quantity)
