I posted a picture last night of a necklace I had made a few months ago which had not gotten the greatest of reviews from my friends and family. I personally love it.. it's bright, kinda unusual, loaded with silver and delicate at the same time. I got lots of really nice comments from my bloggy friends (which really made my day - thanks guys!)...sew...I decided to make it this weeks Friday Giveaway (the charm will have to wait for another time). Call me crazy...it's prolly got about $20 in just silver - but it needs to go to someone who will love it and show it off. I have all the beads to make myself another one to hang in the craft room (which I will be doing eventually I am sure). But this one has hung out long enough and needs to move on.
It's made with lava (how cool is that), killer orange coral, amazonite, gobs of neato spacers, and really pretty gold and black glass beads. It's around 28 inches all the way around (not sure what that is in jewelry inches - if there even is such a thing) and the whole thing is sterling silver (and really very delicate - honest).
Since this one is kinda special I am going to leave the comments open until next Thursday Sept 18, 2008, 12 PM CST.
All you have to do to enter is post a little "hi" and promise to come back for more! It's only open to folks in the US (truly sorry international people). Please only enter once and tell all of your friends.
For the rest of tonight I'll be trying out my new Cricut cartridge Storybook (I finally got it!!) and finishing up my Pay it Forward packages (trying to hustle to get everything due out in the mail by tomorrow - but it's gonna take a miracle to get it all done). My stuffed bunny is going to have to wait.
I am going to be starting a new feature (beginning this Sunday (hopefully) and every Sunday after) where I invite a guest to post their favorite recipe (complete with a little interview and pictures too). If you would like to be a guest let me know! I have two folks lined up right now. One will be for Chicken Alfredo Pizza (I have the recipe now and will be making it myself this weekend) and these fantastically good carrot cake cookie sammiches (which I have personally sampled). You can individually wrap them for co-workers, school parties, picnics, hiding in the couch cushions for a mid-movie snack, etc... They are to die for!
Happy Friday!
Update: the winner of this giveaway was Dana from Old Red Barn Co. and she said:
"Um. Ya . . . about giving this necklace away. Um . . . you can't do that cause it's mine!
Please?"
