First off.. I would like to thank Amanda for doing such a fantastic job on the Sunday Guest Recipe Post! She really took great care in documenting that recipe. I was cracking up throughout her interview. It's as if we were all there chatting at her kitchen table watching her cook (I could almost smell that sauteing garlic...couldn't you!?!).
I had a totally fun weekend crafting it up! Saturday I worked on making up a batch of glass marble magnets, more earrings, and of course more buttons to cover magnets and tacks. MomChops came over Sunday and helped me fine tune the bird pattern. This week I am going to work on converting the pattern into Illustrator so you can all make the bird yourselves! Phew.. lots accomplished!
Today I would like to share more of the measuring equivalents charts. You may remember them from a few weeks ago. You can see the original ones HERE. A friend mentioned that she was putting together gifts for her friends for Christmas using the 3x5 sized cards (shhhh don't tell). So I decided to make up a batch in this size (plus I resized the originals in case folks couldn't live without that Owl).
Her idea gave me a TON of ideas which you will see here soon (matching recipe cards to go with the measuring equivalent charts). You'll be able to print the blank recipe cards out and give them away with the measuring equivalents chart or you can write your favorite recipes on them for yourself! It's gonna be totally COOL.. trust Lolly.
Oh yeah one more thing.. I am going to be making matching tags to go with these as well. If you make gifts in a jar (which I have been making for about 8 years now - and if you know me in person you get a gift in a jar every year no-matter-what!). You can use the tags with those! Ok short short story.. I promise. Up until about 2 years ago my boss still had one of my original gifts-in-a-jar brownie mixes (from 8 years ago) sitting on his desk - no joke.. Those chocolate chips were petrified I am sure. The only reason he got rid of it was because he relocated to NJ. You may be wondering why he never took them home and actually made the recipe...he was unmarried at the time so he just thought they were pretty to look at and never took them home to make. It became a joke after a while.
Anyway.. here they all are. I tried to name them to match with the theme on the card. They are all in PDF format so consider yourself warned before you click on the links to open them (I think it's icky when you click on something and don't know it's a PDF.. I love Adobe trust me.. I just get weirded out with links that are PDFs and you don't know they are PDFs). It's a Lolly thing.
