Firstly.. thanks so much for playing along with me yesterday in wishing Carrie a Happy Birthday! I was completely floored and thrilled to see how many of you went over there for her! I think we really made her day! If you have not already, I don't think it's too late to say "Hi...& Happy Birthday Weekend" and her enter her giveaway. Send the scarflette my best regards while you are over there will ya!?!
So what am I going to do to you guys again today??? I am going to send you someplace else so you can see me guest blog for OurBestBites (DON'T LEAVE JUST YET OK). If you recall Sara was a guest of mine this past Sunday with her fancy peppermint candy cane brownies so when she asked me to guest for her and Kate I said sure why not!
We figured it would be a good idea for me to make them something to feature that was food related.. since they are a food focused blog it only makes sense right? I could have done a puppies and kittens download but I'll have to save that for when someone with a puppies and kittens blog asks me to guest for them (now that will be fun!).
I am thinking this will be the last of the holiday downloads. I need to get going on New Years and MORE paper and fabric patterns (mostly paper and fabric patterns cause I think that's where it's at)..oh and I still have a whale stuffy stufferton to finish. Need.More.Time.
So the "from the kitchen of tags" are pretty self explanatory. You can cut them out OR you can use the Marvy Giga Shipper Tag Punch (I have a post on that HERE too). If you recall I brilliantly chose a tag shape that Marvy is discontinuing the punch for.. but if you poke around the internet you can still find it.. but it cuts out just as easy so it might not be worth the effort.
These next tags are a new size for me. I was just going to use the pink Marvy circle and scallop punches but they were too big.... to big fit where you might be wondering..??? on the tops of ball/kerr/mason jars (at least the ones I have anyway). So I had to go a size down.. to the Marvy Super Jumbo blue punch. I made circles and scallops (circles so you can just cut them out if you do not want to mess with getting a punch) but they work with both the blue circle and scallop punches. So if you have them it will be that much easier.
Here is a view of the blue scallop punch in action with these little tags. It leaves a tiny border of the edge color.
Here is another view real real close up so you can see the ink effect I put on the edges (I think this always makes them look extra nice). I usually use ink that's the same color as that thin line of color that's left after you either cut or punch them out. You can see how to do that HERE.
And lastly.. here is a pic of the little tags on the jars.. I also added them to a small package and they look pretty darn cute there as well (the pic looks funny or I would share that one too)!
So where can you get these puppies to download... from OurBestBites of course! I'll add them to my Download & Print Freebies page over the weekend.. but I highly recommend that you go check out their blog if you have not already. It's pretty amazing.
Sew big bear HUGS everyone! I hope you all have a great weekend.. I'll be recipe guest blogging for myself this Sunday. Wait till you get a load of the interview questions I asked Lolly.. er umm I mean me. It's going to be an Exposé on the Lollinator (well kinda.. I cannot tell all of my secrets now can I??)!
P.S. I am really really really sorry if I am not writing you back. I got busy at work and way behind on my blogging duties this week. I promise I will spend time writing you guys back this weekend. I sorry. xo
P.S.S.T. I fibbed.. it's really not the last of the holiday downloads (seriously folks.. Christmas only comes once a year and we need to live it up right!). This Sunday I will start the "12 Days of Patterns".. I will feature a different pattern every day (through Christmas) that you can download and print OR we can give it a go for a fabric running. Get ready! It's gonna be pretty crazy around here!
