So what did you guys think of the calendar templates? Don't cha just HEART them??? If you missed the post on them from yesterday.. you can download them HERE.
If you had a chance to print them all out you should now have 12 front pieces (printed on vellum) and 12 back pieces.. if you did not get to print them that's ok too! You can always do it this weekend right?!?
Now comes the fun part. You get to match them all up together!
I tried to do a few different designs.. if you don't like some of them just don't print those pages and print more of the ones you like... OR.. you can use some scrap book paper OR a blank paper for the back piece that you stamp and embellish yourself (you could even put pictures under there if you wanted to).
Here are a few that I came up with as samples.
I had this paper from BasicGrey.
It worked well because it had an image at the top and was mostly blank on the bottom.
Here it is finished.
I also had another paper pack from BasicGrey that had loads of butterflies and flowers.
It would have worked well too! You can find this paper HERE.
You can also place a picture back there.. like this one of Miss Harriet (you could have an entire calendar of nothing but pics of your pet(s) --or-- kiddos). YAY for Pet Calendars!
On this little fella I took the tree limb with leaves and used it as as background stem/piece.. and then glued punched out flowers with little gems as centers in a hydrangea shape! It's way cooler in person but this was the best pic I could get... you could do something special like this for each month!
I created another template set (for the vellum haters out there) that includes the dates AND flowers AND swirls.. but I got to pick how they were combined and played around with the text color a little more. This one is pretty easy to do.. you just print them and cut them out (remember..cut just inside the dotted lines)...punch your hole(s) and viola.. you have a calendar. You can embellish the outsides of these if you want. Glitter, punches with butterflies or flowers.. OR.. you can just print the "Just Dates" template and go to town!
My favorite idea of all is to make up a set of calendars and use them as separator pages in a scrapbook (a 2009 scrapbook for instance - some folks scrap on a month-by-month basis - and this would be the perfect divider page for those books - heck you could even add a little tab on the side with the name of the month on it)! You could have your little calendar page (with embellished/themed piece behind).. and then have a little journal space with pics thrown in hither and yon.. the pic above is a sketch of what I am talking about...get the idea???
So that's it for today.. I hope this got you thinking about the TONS of possibilities open with the "Just Dates" template and again.. if you do not want to mess with that you have an all in one package (available below)!
2009 Calendar - Dates & Flowers and Swirls
I'll be back tomorrow with things you can do with corner punches and photo corners (and vellum of course)!
HUGS,
P.S. Vellum is the coolest.
