Hi everyone! Are ya ready for Thanksgiving!?!?! I totally am!
MomChops was visiting this past Sunday and as she was giving RonChops a hug she told him to make sure he was good and hungry by Thursday (he took her advice and is currently on bread and water rations only)! She and I were planning the menu last week and she kept saying to me... "now remember, it's just going to be the 4 of us" ...this was as we were jotting down our 5th side dish! Me thinks we are going to have enough leftovers to feed an army!
So I'll just go ahead and stop jabbering and dive right in to today's crafts!
First... the wreath(s)!
I made these wreaths as part of a live class I did last week for the lovely Erica of Your Scrapbook Stash! You can buy the kits to go along with the recorded class and get all the details HERE!
The first wreath we simply talked about at the end of the class... and this little red, TEAL and green fella down below is the one we actually made during the show!
This wreath contains paper and chip board stickers from the Jovial collection from Basic Grey...
...and is put together using the fabulous Kaiser - Funky Wreath!
That cheerful little snowman family is going to be keeping me company at work from now through Christmas!
Next up...
MomChops helped me out with a little pre-Live with Prima video this past weekend! We thought it would be fun to show everyone how the apron to tree skit magic actually happens (as opposed to showing you during the live show)! This way, you can get your tree skirt ready before the show so you can focus on the FUN decoration part of this whole thing!
This is MomChops first every video debut!!!
I think she did a fabulous job!!!!
(me and MomChops think our hands look almost exactly alike, what do you think?!?!?!)
Here are a few close-up pictures of the skirt!
I love those little holly leaves to smithereens!!!
...and you can ALMOST see the glitter if you use your top secret craft magic eyeball blinky method!
(the top secret method is as follows: squint and blink your eyes really fast and you'll see glitter... either that or you'll pass out... so just be careful!!!)
You can get the kit for this skirt from my buddy Kristina of Your Memories Here (right HERE)!
...and...
Below is the list of Plaid paints I used to fancy up this skirt!
Plaid Folk Art:
449 - Olive Green
527 - Forest Moss
924 - Thicket
2548 - Apple Red
932 - Calico Red
(about the reds.... I mixed these two up cause I did not have a nice rich red in my stash... so if you are at the store and see a red that really catches your eye... go for it!!!)
Plaid Extreme Glitter Paint (my new favorite paint on the whole entire planet
(and it comes in turquoise people!!!!!!)):
2789 - Peridot (either 2 of the 2 ounce bottles or 1 of the 5 ounce jars)
2792 - Red
(psst... if you spy the turquoise extreme glitter... you might want to get some... I am on a mission to buy up the entire planet's supply of this glitter... so consider yourself warned)
These new fancy glitter paints should be available where ever Plaid paints are sold!
So that's all for today! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday week! Thanksgiving HUGS from the Chops family to all of you!
