Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had an amazing holiday! RonChops and I had a super nice vacation together (lots of fires and family time)! I am always sad to see this time of year pass... I can't bring myself to take down the tree just yet, but I think we'll do it next weekend... maybe.
Tonight I am going to be doing a UStream show with Helmar (YAY)! Several months ago I shared a sneak of a Velveeta cheese box that I had altered for Crate Paper!
Seeing as 2011 is the year of total cheese... (I just declared it so it's got to be true right?!?!?!) ...tonight we are gonna alter two different cheese boxes... one to cover the sophisticated cheese and cracker eater (using a Triple Creme Goat Brie box) and one for the rest of us regular melted cheese and corn chip eatin' folk (using a good ole processed Velveeta cheese box).
I feel like living on the edge a little, so I am gonna do some fly by the seat of my pants crafting for the show. I have only picked out the papers and goodies I'll be using, and have not actually created a project ahead of time to work by (GULP).
Sew... the class tonight will either be a disaster of epic proportion... or it might only be a teeny tiny little disaster. Does that sound like fun or what!?!?!?! I'll have the dogs on standby for some tail waggin' fun in case it's a full out train wreck!
You won't want to miss it!!!
Next up... a little Christmas story!
The DogChops Christmas Goose 2010!
If you were a reader of my blog last Christmas, you might remember that DogChops gets a stuffed Goose every year!
Here we have the entire GooseChops family line-up.
The little fella with the Santa hat way in the back peeking out is one of Dog's favorites.
(he's got an attitude... you can see it in his beak)
Twas the night before Christmas...
RonChops and I put out all of the presents Christmas Eve and headed to bed...
DogChops was curiously missing, so I trekked off to find her and...
...low and behold...
She was camped out by the tree waiting for Santa to come...
...looking super duper sad...
...so...
...we caved...
.strong we are not.
we let her open one present
...and she tore into it like there was NO tomorrow...
(her frenzy might have had something to do with the dog cookie I had buried in the packaging, but I'll never tell)
I was laughing so hard I couldn't keep the camera straight.
She basically had her entire snout buried in the package and was finally able to wrastle her Goose out.
She's always a little shy with a new Goose...
...but they settled in and got into a routine pretty quickly...
Consisting mainly of...
...Goose naps...
(lots and lots of Goose naps!!!)
So that's all for me today! I am looking forward to a crafty fun filled 2011! Thanks for hanging out with me this past year! You guys are the BESTEST and I loves the lot of yas!!!
Join me tonight at 8:30CST (along with the entire GooseChops family) on the Helmar UStream Channel (HERE)! I do hope you can make it, we always have a good time in the chat!
More hanky hugs than you can stand!!!
P.S. I'll be back next week with a TON of new stuff to share. I finished my project for Donna Downey's Inspired workshop in May (you can read all about it HERE) and also worked up new projects for my Little Blue House classes! Plus... I'll be doing a little encaustic demonstration too! I am super excited to give it a try! XO's!
UPDATE: You can watch the rerun of The Altered Cheese Box show (part 1 HERE and part 2 HERE)! The dang blasted thing cut out in the middle and split the show into two riveting parts (hardee har har).
