Hello sweet friends! Happy Valentines Day to you all! I hope you get loads of HUGS (not just today but all week long)!
I have two small shares for you guys... nothing too fancy really!
Firstly...
A couple of weeks ago while at CHA The Little Blue House gals and sat down for a meal at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant (it was next door to our hotel and the wait was only a measley 52 minutes... rather decent all things considered)!!!
Once we were seated (using my super duper crafty eyeballs) I spotted this metal or wood or plastic or something or another giant wavy wall near our table (mind you this thing was something like 30 feet tall so there was no way I really could have missed it unless my crafty eyeballs had been on the fritz)!
This is what it looked like (it was darker than dark so this is the best I could do)
There were holes and slats in the waves and it was just completely awesome! I snagged this pic with my camera phone and told the girls I was gonna do something in paper with that design!
So this was the weekend to do it a) because I wanted something mindless to play around with and b) because I wanted something mindless to play around with... I have been one tired Lolly lately. For reals.
Hang on... I think I need a little boost...
Ahhhh... I feel MUCH better...
Don't you?
(sorry guys... but that's not gotten old to me yet)
(poor poor Lolly)
Anyhoot!
...I created a sample of some paper waves!
They were EASY to do...
I simply cut 1 inch strips and tacked them down with some glue here and there as I "waved" each piece!
Just to add a little something, I created a conversation bubble and loaded it up with some tweety bird HUGS!
This is just a sample to see how the paper looks with the waves and to just generally play around with that design to see if I could see something else out of it...
..and I did...
But I'll wait till another time to share that project! It's still percolating!
Second to lastly... here is another SUPER simple technique...
Over the past couple of weeks I have shared some peeps of my Crate Paper CHA project.
I created a little video on the paper ruffling and I wanted to make sure you guys had a chance to watch it!
Faux Fabric Border (made from paper) from Lolly Chops!
...and Last to lastly (for real this time)...
THANKS a ton for the amazing response to RonChops' Blending Buddies! We SOLD OUT last week so he has whipped up another batch for you guys (you can check them out HERE)! We are both so grateful to you all! You are honestly the best folks around!
So that's all this tired out Lolly has for today... I have a little something extra brewing on the side and it's got me going 90 to nuthin' right now! Bear with me for just a couple more weeks! I promise to let you guys in on the secret before anyone else!
