Faber-Castell Giveaway!

Hello friends!  A few weeks ago the loverly folks from Faber-Castelle contacted me about hosting a giveaway here on my blog! I jumped at the chance cause it meant I would get a chance to play with some of their new products and share some of them with you guys too!

Before I dive into some of the projects I made, I wanted to share a few crazy peeps from my birthday last weekend!

When I woke up on my birthday morning I headed into the craft room and low and behold....  this is what greeted me!

 
A GIANT teal(ish) box!

You might be thinking that RonChops left some of his man crafts in my craft room...
But you would be spot on wrong!
This is exactly what I asked for!!!!

It's a router table!

I was so excited I tried to pick it up thinking I would take it into the garage to start assembly...

...and I sprained a pinky...

That sucker was heavy!

 Sitting innocently right in front of my new router table was quite possibly the greatest gift of them all!!!

RonChops found these and said he just couldn't believe it!!
(he might have been more excited than me...)
(no wait, that's just me dreaming)
(no one was more excited than me to see those teal gloves!!!) 

RonChops made me a cool crafty (a.k.a sturdy) table for my router table!
I have already used it a bunch of times and you'll be seeing ALL sorts of fancy routed project bases from me (oh and I am even taking a class on July 13 at a local woodworking store to learn even more about routing!!!)  EEPS!  I'm so excited! 

MomChops made me a cute (teal) market bag with a matching change purse...

The best part about the change purse...

...is that she put change in there!!!
It made me feel like a kid again!
(which is important considering how OLD I am getting these days)

My sister-in-law made me a cake....

Can you guess what color it was?!?!?!

TEAL!

I just about passed out when I saw it!
I've never had a teal cake before and this one was KILLER!

RonChops sent her a photo of one of the blending buddies and she matched it perfectly!!!
(big thanks to my sweet SIL)!

Now on to crafts!!!

So the goodies I got from Faber-Castell were ALL teals and greens.

It's like they KNEW!

I got an assortment of these cool things called Gelatos!

They twist up kinda like lip sticks and you can either smudge them on to a surface or add water to them right from the tip and apply them where you want!

 They blend beautifully and make nice soft gradient effects!

Another one of the most amazing items they send me are these fellas called Big Brush Pens.

They contain India ink and you can literally brush them onto a stamp and stamp them onto just about anything.

Of course I tried paper...

But the thing I was the most excited about was stamping on fabric!

I got out nearly every one of my very most favorite stamps and went to town on a strip of muslin!

...then...

I washed and scrubbed that fabric and that stamped image did not fade away!

So...

I stamped some of those images on onesies and a little fabric bag that I made!
I washed the little birdie one on the left and you cannot even tell!

They are really amazing! 

So I am 110% smitten with these killer pens and I am thrilled that I get to give you a chance to win some!!

The Craft room makeover (plus a winner)!

I just loved reading all of your comments last week on your favorite spots for vacation... I was ready to take a year off and visit them all right along with you!

RonChops and I will be doing a staycation this year... just hanging out with our families and enjoying the summer.  It's already off to a great start but I could sure stand to head to a beach or two!

CraftRoom Update!
RonChops finished up my craft room floor last week (everything except the thresholds and doors cause he needs something special to get the thresholds in)! I set to work first thing on Saturday morning hauling all the stuff back in...  I decided it was time for a MEGA overhaul...  LOTS of purging...  LOTS!  I thought it might be fun to share a few pics of the whole thing!

I found the absolute perfect rug at Tuesday Morning!

It's a patchwork of flowers, butterflies and swirls!

They also had a rug that was about 95% teal and I somehow passed on it.
I'm pretty sure I was running a fever.

That's the only explanation for why I would have passed on that teal rug.

I don't have any regrets.

Honest.

None.

Zero.

Zip.

Zilch.

(if I get arrested for breaking into Tuesday Morning to steal a teal colored rug tonight... you'll know why)

Here we have the closet.

 I'm pretty sure these floors won't see the light of day until the next ice age.

I went from 5 feet of visible floor space...

...to about 11.75 inches...

I have MAD crazy packing skillz!

The little fence slat shelves RonChops made for me a few months ago.
I keep my music computer on them along with some other odds and ends.

Oh and I had LOTS of help from the Dogs!!!   

They made sure they laid right in front of the craft room door as I was bringing in everything from the living room.

DogChops and CharlotteChops even formed a special double dog barrier!!!

Aren't they the best????

Since I was messing with everything else, I used this as an opportunity to reorganize my shelves too! 

Can you tell!?!?!

I'm kidding.

I can barely tell!!!

I found a giant green chicken under the rubble.

He's my new craft room mascot!

You can barely see him sitting in the window seat.

Heck...  I didn't even remember that I had a window seat until around 6pm on Saturday when I excavated it.

Here is one of my newly reorganized shelves...

...sporting some of my MANY animal statues.

I seriously like chickens, bears, birds and rabbits.

 .like, seriously. 

...and cause I can't go two weeks in a row without crafts...

MomChops saves the day!

She made me this necklace a few weeks ago.

Front Porch Kits - One Sunny Day Kit Giveaway!

Hello friends!  I have a silly little story to share with you today!  When I came home from the first day of the Great American Scrapbook Convention on Thursday evening low and behold...  this is what I found in my craft room...

...a whole lotta nuthin...

!!!!!!!!!!

RonChops decided to surprise me with a craft room floor makeover!

He said it took him almost 5 hours to clear out "all the junk"...
(just FYI, "junk" in le dictionary de la LollyChops is defined as "awesome craft supplies") 

...and wow...

It was like the craft room exploded in the WHOLE entire house!

 The fabric shelves from the closet were in the main hallway...
(I think I need more teal fabric don't you???)

 A whole myraid of I don't even know what found it's way into the poor living room...

...and there were even more shelves from the closet inching their way into the kitchen...

But this next grouping of items was by far my favorite...

I found this in the foyer... 

1) A paper cutout of a banjo
2) A rock with a lot of holes in it
3) ..and a roll of pink party streamers

Can you imagine what RonChops was thinking as he picked up the paper banjo to move it?

"hmmm...  where oh where am I going to put this adorable paper banjo???"

Actually...  what I really think was going through his mind was more along the lines of...

"I wonder if she'll notice if I throw her paper banjo out...???"

 "hmmmm..."

...as he's heading to the trashcan...

...and thinks about the frantic 6 hour search that will ensue when I can't find my paper banjo... 

...he smartly decides to place the paper banjo with the party streamers and holey rock...

...poor RonChops...

I noticed that he moved everything exactly has I had left it...

Even my transformer hot glue gun with hot glue drippings!!!
(he also placed the entire contents from my craft table in a giant trash bag)
(cause he said that he knew if he threw anything out it would be a "bad thing")
(and then I think he mumbled something about me never throwing anything away)
(but I could have daydreamed that part)

 I basically have new wood floors in my craft room as I type this!
(but I still have an entire house full of craft supplies)

So we'll have a little giveaway until I can get things cleaned up, o'kay???
