Saturday morning I was making a "dish" that RonChops and I make every week. I thought it might be fun to share the recipe with you guys too since it's one of our favs (I was just trying to mix things up here a tad)!
It's a quick and easy little salsa recipe that I got from my cousin, Maria!
You start off with a load of tomatoes, white onions, and jalapenos!
You plop them all on the grill and char them till they are nice and black!
I set the rest of the ingredients up on a pretty cutting board!
(with the tomatoes artfully peaking through in the background)...
(let me go ahead and mention that I forgot two ingredients in this photo...which is reason #1 on why I'm not a food blogger)
I wrangled RonChops into pouring some of the juice from the charred veggies into the food processor...
For my attempt at a Pioneer Womanesque shot...
Things were moving along pretty well... I was feeling pretty excited at this point about my post and sharing this recipe (cause it really is one of our favs)...
...and then...
BAM... the battery went out on my camera.
(which is reason #2 why I'm not a food blogger... you gotta be prepared when you are documenting a recipe!!!)
No big deal right? All I had to do was grab the spare from the charger and keep on truckin'!!!
Only I couldn't find it.
Anywhere.
I looked for a solid hour.
RonChops looked too.
That fella was no where to be found.
We're pretty sure he got left in a hotel somewhere. Possibly in France.
(the only issue with that theory is that we've never been to France)
(but since we've not been in a hotel in a zillion months, that other part of the theory isn't holding much water either)
So I had to finish the salsa and get busy with sulking about not having the rest of the pictures for my recipe post.
Once I was done sulking, I realized that this would mean I wouldn't have a camera for my craft photos either.
That's when I started to panic!!!
Another hour of searching ensued (with poor beaten to smithereens Mr. RonChops in tow).
Around 4pm on Saturday I started calling camera places until I could find one who sold my charger.
RonChops packed me into the truck and we took off to get the charger
(and some slurpeees too cause it's roughly 145 degrees Fahrenheit here...)
(you could probably boil lobsters in our pool)
(don't think that thought hasn't crossed my mind either)
So I got my charger, charged up my camera and all was right in the world!
(only I don't have the salsa recipe details to share... it'll come next week)!!!
I did get my two August Live with Prima projects finished!
(I'll let you know when they are going to be broadcast)...
(the photos of them are nestled in the salsa camera story up above)
...and I also got a little wreath tutorial done for Front Porch Kits!
You can check out that tutorial HERE (complete with cutting files too)!!
I'll share two birds next week (to make up for the lack of tweets today) and the salsa recipe!
(assuming I don't have any more problems)
I hope you guys have a tealriffic week (thanks for dropping by sweet peeps)!
Oh and if you have a killer salsa recipe to share, let me know!!! RonChops and I love love love salsa!
